  I. Foreign applicants who want to extend Stay Permit must present an application to the divisions of Exit & Entry Administration of Public Security 7 days in advance before the expiration date of Stay Permit.

  Foreign applicants who want to extend Residence Permit must present an application to the divisions of Exit & Entry Administration of Public Security 30 days in advance before the expiration date of Residence Permit.

  Time limit of handling and winding up the Stay Permit case is 7 working days, and the Residence Permit case is 15 working days.

  II. When children under the age of 16 apply for Stay (Residence) Permit with foreign passports for the first time, they should provide their own birth certificates, copies of their foreign parents’ foreign passports or Chinese parents’ Chinese passports, and copies and original copies of Permanent Residence Permit for the identification of their nationality.

  III. According to the Nationality law of the People's Republic of China, China does not recognize dual nationalities. Applicants who have joined a foreign nationality must apply for Foreigner Visa and Stay (Residence) Permit after canceling their Chinese household registration.

  IV. Certificates of family member relations and kinship relationrefers to the certificates of marriage, birth, adoption, other kinship relations issued by the relevant national authorities and the relevant notarizations and the certificates of marriage, birth and kinship relation issued by their states' Chinese embassy or consulate.

  V. The certificates of marriage, birth, kinship relations, name and other alteration certificates issued by overseas institutions shall be certified by the Chinese embassy or consulate in that country.

  VI. All the certificates not written in Chinese should be translated into Chinese by domestic notary offices.

  VII. Foreign applicants who apply for Stay (Residence) Permit shall pay related fees in accordance with relevant regulations launched by competent authorities of Chinese government.

  VIII. Decisions of validity period and number of entries of Stay (Residence) Permit made by divisions of Exit & Entry Administration of Public Security shall be final.

  IX. Decisions made by divisions of Exit & EntryAdministration of Public Security on rejecting applications or extension for Stay (Residence) Permit shall be final. Divisions of Exit & Entry Administration of Public Security reserves the rights to refuse issuing Stay (Residence) Permit and cancel or annul the existing ones.

  X. The public security organization shall punish non-Chinese residents and personsliable for illegally living or residence or having other illegal acts in Chinaaccording to the relevant laws and regulations.

  Applicants can take buses No.12, 38, 68, 106, 107 and get off at the station of Yichang High-Tech Zone.
