1.Foreigners applying for visa extension, renewal and replacement shall apply to the Exit and Entry Administration Department of public security organs 7 days before the expiration of the validity period of the visa. The time limit for visa extension, renewal and replacement is 7 working days.

　　2. Children under the age of 16 appling for visa, stay permits and residence permits in Yichang for the first time, shall provide the birth certificate, the copy of passport of foreign parents or of Chinese parents and a copy of permanent residence document (check the original), for the identification of nationality.

　　3.According to the Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China, China does not recognize dual nationality. Applicants who have joined a foreign nationality must apply for foreigner visas, stay permits and residence permits after canceling their Chinese household registration.

　　4.Certificate of family member relations and proof of kinship, refers to the marriage certificate, birth certificate, adoption certificate and certificate of other kinship and related notarization issued by the competent authorities of the state, or the marriage certificate, birth certificate and kinship certificate issued by the embassy and consulate in China.

　　5. The certificate of marriage, birth certificate, certificate of kinship and other documentsto prove things like changing a nameissued by overseas institutions shall be certified by the Chinese embassy.

　　6. Proof materialsin foreign languagesshall be translated into Chinese by the domestic notary office.

　　7. If a foreigner applies for extension, replacement or reissuance of the visa, he or she shall pay the fee according to the relevant provisions of the competent department of the Chinese government.

　　The period of validity and the number of entries requestedof visas and residence certificates shall be subject to the final decision by the Exit and Entry Administration Ministry of Public Security.

　　9. The decision by the Exit andEntry Administration Ministry of Public Securityon the extension, replacement and reissuance of the visa shall be final. Meanwhile, the administration ministry has the right to revoke or declare off the issued visa.

　　For a foreigner or a responsible person who illegally (stops) stays in China or has other illegal activities, the public security organs will punish them according to law.
