On October 15^th, Semila, an international REACH expert, was invited to the Yichang Free Trade Zone (FTZ) to provide an REACH training course for more than 30 export enterprises in terms of the impact of REACH regulations on business operation and subsequent regulatory changes.

　　The full name of REACH is The Regulation Concerning the Registration, Evaluation，Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals of the European Union(EU).Since the EU is one of the main trade partners of Hubei Province, the REACH regulation exerts not only a direct influence on chemical companies, but also some effect on the enterprises of textile, electromechanical products, toys and furniture, in which chemicals are utilized to various extents. Currently, the REACH regulation has been being the most important eco-friendly technology trade barrier for China since it entered into WTO.

　　Combining his expertise and working experience, Semila elaborated REACH regulation and provided the instructive principles with some cases to guide the exporting companies to address the problems related REACH regulation. The training course will guide Yichang FTZ to take corresponding measures on the product categories of Yichang export enterprises, voluntarily follow the REACH regulation, reduce costs and risks and strictly control the quality of export products, so that more “Products Made in Yichang” are exported all over the world.
