On Oct. 22nd, a Ukrainian delegation of Zaporozhye city was invited to Yichang Free Trade Zone for an investigation, and the management community of Yichang Free Trade Zone signed a memorandum of cooperation with Zavodovsk District and Alexandrovsk District of Zaporazhye. The two sides agreed to strengthen economic and trade exchanges on a larger scale, in a wider field and at a deeper level to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. This is another achievement of the integration of the Belt and Road Initiative after Yichang Free Trade Zone signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Kazakhstan East Gate Special Economic Zone.

And in 1997, with the formal approval of The Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of PRC, the two sides officially established a sister city relationship. “The people of Yichang are very warm-hearted and hospitable, and Yichang is very clean with a beautiful environment”, Valery Mostov, who come to Yichang for the first time, praise Yichang during his investigation, “There are many things are worthy to learn in the construction of establishing intelligent city.
