On June 17, Yichang Free Trade Zone held the fourth batch of independent innovation project selection and evaluation meeting.

　　The meeting reported the third batch of institutional innovations in Yichang Free Trade Zone and the application for the fourth batch of institutional innovation projects. It is understood that in the third batch of 29 institutional innovations announced in the Hubei Pilot Free Trade Zone, a total of 9 results were selected in the Yichang area, covering "release, supervision, service" reform, and innovation-driven development, financial service innovation, trade facilitation, etc. The total number ranks first in Hubei province alongside that of Wuhan.

　　According to the submission requirements of the fourth batch of institutional innovations by the Provincial Free Trade Office, each member unit of Yichang has taken the initiative to explore in the light of the actual work. At present, there are 36 topics submitted by 20 units, such as the Municipal Local Financial Bureau and the Market Supervision and Administration, covering fields such as the transformation of government functions, financial services, Judicial Services.

　　After the deliberative review, seventeen innovative and breakthrough topics closely related to the requirements of "four modernizations" (investment liberalization, trade facilitation, financial internationalization, regulatory legalization) , such as "paid use of various types of energy of enterprises" submitted by the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, the "foreigners who apply for visas exempting from passport retention" submitted by the Municipal Public Security Bureau, and the "Yichang City Standard Innovation Service Platform" submitted by the Municipal Market Supervision and Administration, have passed the municipal review.
