During the epidemic period, the Free Trade Zone has been takingthe initiative to implement the convenient measure of "promise andproduction", cuttingdown the approval and registration time for medical devices to be convertedto production within 2 hours. It has fully supportedcapable enterprises to convertepidemic prevention materials, which has effectively alleviatedthe shortage of epidemic prevention materials and promoted enterprises to resumeproduction.This innovative experience ispublished and recommended byThe State Council Free Trade Zone Work Inter-Ministerial joint conference.

　　It is known that in order to further reduce the time limit forenterprises toconvertto production, the Market Supervision Bureau changedthe business scope of the business license (to add medical devices) approval and the first category of medical devices registration, from series to parallel handling of the head.Meanwhile, forthose enterprises withagood record ofcredit,they just need to inform and promise, and then convert to production. They are allowed to makeup the relevant documents when the epidemic is relieved. Free Trade Zonealso organizedspecial working groups to offer one-to-one supervising and guiding service.

　　Thanks to the two measures, the enterprisescan obtain the changed Electronic Business License andElectronic Medical Devices Distribution Enterprise License within 2 hours, saving nearly 10 days compared with the usual time.

　　The efficient measure of "promise andproduction" has attracted a number of companies to “try on”new areas.Up to now, 10 enterprises in Yichang FTZ, including Huaqiang Science and Technology Co.Ltd. and Kangquan Medical Science and Technology Co.Ltd., have obtained the production qualificationsof epidemic prevention materials, and have produced 75,000 sets of protective clothing, 25,000 sets of universal eye shields and 100,000 universal mask shields.
