“The trademark pledge loan solves our pressing need!” On Oct. 17, Long Ying cannot hide excitement when he recalled 18-million-yuan loan he got through the pledge of trademark rights in late September. Now, the trademark pledge loan in Yichang free Trade Zone has exceeded 100 million yuan, bringing a godsend for enterprises to solve financial problem.
Long Ying is the general Party branch secretary and director of the intellectual property office of Hubei Chuyuanchun Wine Co., Ltd. At the beginning of this year, he heard that Yichang Free Trade Zone established the trademark pledge business while enterprises only need to apply to the bank for the pledge loan of trademark right first and then apply for the pledge registration certificate of trademark exclusive right in the district, finally can get the bank loan successfully.
Because the company was in urgent need of financial support, Long Ying who was on behalf of Chuyuanchun Wine Co., Ltd. immediately applied to financial institutions for the trademark pledge loan and signed the contract.
In late September, Long Ying went to the comprehensive service hall of Yichang Free Trade Zone to apply for the financing business of pledge of exclusive right to use trademark. After signing the letter of commitment, he submitted the application form, loan contract, pledge contract and other materials. In the afternoon, he received the electronic certificate of pledge registration for the exclusive right to use trademarks. Subsequently, comprehensive service hall issued the paper certificate. Upon receipt of the registration certificate, Sanxia Bank immediately issued a pledge loan of 18 million yuan to Chuyuanchun Wine Co., Ltd. in accordance with the contract.
“In order to help enterprises recover after the pandemic, Yichang Free Trade Zone has continuously optimized the process and reduced the handling of trademark pledge business to two working days. Through new financing method, enterprises can transform ‘intangible’ assets into ‘tangible’ values, effectively alleviating financing difficulties,” said Qin Min, chief of the economic affairs approval section in the zone’s service bureau.
Up to now, the comprehensive service hall of Yichang Free Trade Zone has accepted more than 330 kinds of trademark business and successively handled trademark pledge business for Hubei Rensen Agricultural Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd., Hubei Three Gorges New Building Materials Co., Ltd., and other enterprises, with the total amount of secured claim reaching 111.5 million yuan.
