Recently, according to the provincial government’s notice on the experience replication and promotion of the reform pilots in the fifth batch of Hubei Free Trade Zone, five achievements in Yichang are successfully selected on the list. So far, in 2020, 18 achievements in Yichang have been selected as institutional innovation achievements above the provincial level, with both quantity and quality leading in the province. Among them, the number of national achievements ranks first, alongside Wuhan, accounting for 40% of the national achievements in Hubei province in 2020, making a positive contribution to the reform of the Pilot Free Trade Zone.

　　“Institutional innovation is the core and mission of the free trade area,” head of Innovation Promotion Bureau of Yichang Free Trade Zone Management Committee said. In 2021, Yichang Free Trade Zone will take the institutional advantages to replicate and promote its experience, ensure the implementation of various supporting policies of the central, provincial and municipal governments, and constantly unleash benefits enabled by reform. At the same time, we will conduct in-depth research and make bold innovations to address the difficulties, obstacles and pains that constrain the development of enterprises. Particularly, a number of institutional innovations with strong market sense in investment, trade liberalization and facilitation will be strived to achieve in response to the needs of industrial development in the Comprehensive Free Trade Zone and the development of new forms of business.
