CCPIT Free Trade Agreement (Yichang) Service Center Established
2022-12-22 09:08:21

A few days ago, CCPIT approved the establishment of the “CCPIT Free Trade Agreement (Yichang) Service Center” in the CCPIT Municipal Council, marking the settlement of another national platform in Yichang, which is the second local comprehensive service platform for free trade agreements in Hubei province after Wuhan.

Free trade agreements are trade and investment liberalization agreements reached by bilateral and regional economies. Their purpose is to eliminate trade barriers and allow free flow of products and services between two or more countries. At present, China has signed 19 free trade agreements with 26 countries and regions. Yichang has economic and trade exchanges with most countries and regions that have signed their respective trade agreements. In recent years, the CCPIT Municipal Council has handled more than 10000 commercial certification documents for more than 100 enterprises in the city every year. Among them, there are about 2000 preferential certificates of origin, saving tariff costs of 40 million yuan. (Reporter JieXingwei)
