China Council For the Promotion of International Trade(CCPIT) Yichang Sub-council and the Shanghai International Sourcing Promotion Center signed a strategic cooperation agreement on Feb 23. The two sides will give full play to their respective advantages in building a large platform for the transformation and upgrading of foreign trade in Yichang and the Three Gorges region so as to stablize the industry chain and the supply chain.

　　As a major foreign trade city in the province, Yichang's foreign trade reached 41.712 billion yuan with a year-on-year increase of 23.1 % , ranking second in the province.To innovate service trade mechanism, optimize and upgrade trade in goods, develop new trade models and ensure unimpeded distribution of channels, CCPIT Yichang Sub-council invited Shanghai International Sourcing Promotion Center to do field research. Staff of the Shanghai International Sourcing Promotion Center felt the the entrepreneurship and the strong business atmosphere during their stay and decided to carry out comprehensive strategic cooperation with Yichang.

　　As settled in the agreement, the two sides will set up the Shanghai International Sourcing Promotion Center Yichang Office, which is responsible for services like release of purchase information, match-making conferences, guidance on the building of international trade capacity, etc. so as to facilitate the going global of dominant industries and quality products in Yichang and the Three Gorges region. With the help of the Shanghai International Sourcing Promotion Center, Yichang’s enterprises will have more opportunities to access Shanghai’s quality conferences and exhibitions, economic and trade exchanges, as well as supply chain services. Moreover, there will be more economic activities, such as industrial promotion, match-making of enterprises, purchase-and-supply negotiation, trade investment, etc. The agreement will also help Yichang access international resources and foreign trade industries to stablize the industry chain and supply chain.
