Recently, the Administrative Service Center of the Yichang Hi-tech Zone (Free Trade Area) has set up an e-financial service station where the QR codes of 12 banks are available for the public at the window. A quick scan of such codes will enable new business starters to get in touch with the customer manager of a relevant bank to open an account very quickly.
It is learned that the e-financial service station is the first of its kind in Yichang as an effort made by the Hi-tech Zone to create a novel cooperation mode of “smart administrative service plus financial institutions”. So far, the Bureau of Administrative Service of the Hi-tech Zone has signed an Cooperation Agreement on Optimizing Account-opening Service for Corporations with 12 financial institutions including the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, the Agricultural Bank of China and the China Construction Bank, aiming at further expanding online and offline account-opening channels for market entities and shortening the time in starting businesses and opening accounts for new business start-ups. At present, 12 banks have had outlets at the e-financial service station, where applicants can scan the QR codes and select the account-opening outlet of the corresponding bank to make an appointment immediately with its customer service manager and the latter will visit the applicant’s company to do the verification and account-opening work.
In addition, as a move to improve its administrative service, the Hi-tech Zone has also established “Accounting-opening Sector for Enterprises” in the outlets of the Hi-tech Zone branches of China Construction Bank, the Gangyao Avenue branch of China Agricultural Bank, and the Free Trade Zone branch of Hubei Bank and Sanxia Rural Commercial Bank. At these outlets, applicants will be guided by dedicated customer managers to register for opening up a business on the Hubei Administrative Service website by themselves. After the approval of the market regulation department, the applicants can get electronic business licenses and seals through the “Electronic Business License” applet on Wechat and Alipay and then start the procedure of opening a bank account.
