Yichang Hi-Tech Zone recently issued a notice for recruitment of “Governmental Administrative Service Coordinators” to recruit 20 volunteers from ordinary citizens.
Starting from April 1, local authorities will dedicate one month to a series of themed activities such as “Governmental Administrative Formalities through My Eyes” and “Governmental Administrative Services Review.” Participants are expected to visit all levels of service centers across the zone on the condition of anonymity, experiencing both off- and on-line process of going through formalities in different fields, including enterprise registration, project development, employment, social security and healthcare, and business policy. They will evaluate procedures of the system, staffers’ working attitude, and the efficiency of the administration, so as to make suggestions for local government to reform its regulation, upgrade its service, and optimize the business environment. The administrative approval department, meanwhile, will organize inspection tours on low-performing official bodies to streamline government administration. Cross-examinations are introduced between working staff at different levels to boost service in terms of standardization, alignment, and convenience.
