　　On August 23, 2024, the Yichang High-Tech Zone started tostreamline newborn-related procedures into a single-window service, specifically the B1 consolidated service window of “One-Stop Service Hub for New Parents” atthe Administrative Service Center of High-Tech Zone. Residents can efficiently complete the newborn's household registration, enroll them in basic medical insurance, and apply for a social security card simultaneously, by simply presenting the child's "Birth Medical Certificate" alongside their original household register, identity cards, and both parents' marriage certificate.

　　It was learned that Yichang High-Tech Zone has servedas a pioneer inYichangby introducing a comprehensive one-stop service tailored for new parents. Collaborating with the Yichang MunicipalCitizen Card Center, the High-Tech Zone Branch of Yichang Municipal Public Security Bureau and the High-Tech ZoneTalent Service Center, the Digital City Operation Center of Yichang High-Tech Zone has streamlined government information sharing anddepartmental approvals. This concerted effort aims to facilitate the “One-Stop Service for Newborn Parents,” ensuring “one-window acceptance, seamless service, and prompt completion.”To further enhance public convenience, the service window has implemented innovative measures like “appointment services,” “extended hours,” and even “weekend services,” enabling citizens to manage their newborns’ household registration even during non-business days.
