I am a student of Three Gorges University .It is not something special but it was the reason that I came to Yichang. And it also let me have a great number of chances to communicate with foreigner.That gives my sedentary life an various flavor .

　　Our university certainly have many foreign students, but we Chinese students seldom talk to them. The reason why we lack for communication with foreign friends is vary from person to person .

　　As for me ,it must because of my lack of confidence, besides , I cannot find a proper topic to chat with them. Actually , every time I meet them ,I really want to talk to them . Not only because I want to make friends with them ,but also I want to introduce my culture to them and know their culture at the same time. That\'s the nature of human beings to know more about this word .

　　It was the first time that I had communicated with foreigner. At that time ,I am just a freshman in this university .I lost my keys at playground and I refused to find it . When I back to the playground ,only to find many foreigners played soccer there. For my worrying with my keys, I asked one of them "Did you see a bunch of keys?". He looked at me with curiosity. After a while ,he came to me and ask me something about me . Gradually,he began to speak Chinese and ask for my phone number . Since then ,he called me everyday and invited me to have dinner， but I was declined . In my mind ,It is not decent to out with a boy . Others might believe I was dating with him or I made use of him to practice my English. I want to make friends with those who has same hobby as me .or we have something to talk about . It was not my purpose to make use of my friends .

　　The latest time I talk with foreigners was last semester. Actually I tried to talk with some foreign students ,but them refused for their being busy or they had something important to cope with . Maybe they really had something to handle but I felt the resistance at the same time . But at last , I met a India foreign friend . He was easygoing and pleasant to talk to me . The question I provided that what did you think about Chinese students attitude towards foreign students . He told me that he knew Chinese students know English and they could speak English , but they were just afraid of it and did not want to speak it. They could understand it in someways . And also he told me that he has many Chinese friends ,more than fifty. Sometimes , he helped them practice their oral English speaking . Honestly, It certainly surprised me.

　　Now , I begin to contact with a growing number of foreigners. Even if I just could speak a phrase by phrase , they do understand me ,besides ,most of them I met were good at English. my Yichang story was not ended yet.
