It is also the connection between Sichuan and Hubei Provinces, which has always been of vital importance in military strategy. The hydroelectric projects make Yichang well-known for almost all people in the world. I am a postgraduate of China Three Gorges University and I recommend this very highly to you.

　　Different from most other Chinese universities, China Three Gorges University is without walls around its campus. It uses a simple design with a big stone engraved with school’ name as a symbol without protecting any locks. People can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the campus whether you are farmers, workers, businessmen or intellectuals. There are no entrance fees to be paid. Therefore, there is a sea of faces every spring in March, since the university will hold a Peach Blossom Festival when all peach flowers are blossoming in different colors of pink, white, and red. During the Peach Blossom Festival, people can enjoy not only beautiful scenery as blossoming flowers, flowing stream, small bridges in the campus but also colorful performances participated by more than one thousand foreign students. While you are watching the performances, you can also become an active participator interacting with performers if you have an interest in it. Along exploration stream bank, there are tents setting by more than 30 different country’s foreign students showing their different cultures and foods. In a tent, tasting exotic foods and appreciating Chinese calligraphy will bring you a feeling that we together, of different nationality, are truly one family.
