　　Qingjiang Wetland Scenic Area of Yichang Xiazhou was previously named Three Gorges Wetland, or YangShoujing Academy. Yang Shoujing, or Yang Kaikeas his original name, had Xinwu as hisgiven name, self-named as a Linshu Senior Citizen when he was getting old. He was known as a historical geographer, goldstone calligrapher, edition bibliographer, Tibetan calligrapher and calligrapher. Yang Shoujingwas born in 1839 and died in 1915 in Yidu, Hubei province. It was he who first defined the origin of "three gorges of the Yangtze river" and "eight hundred li Qingjiang river" in a scientific way.Yanghas also been regarded as the ancestor of modern calligraphy, “excavator of modern Japanese calligraphy” and “father of modern Japanese calligraphy” in Japanese calligraphy circles. He made outstanding contributions to promoting sinology and speeding up the cultural exchanges between China and Japan. Gaobazhou Reservoir is located in Yidu County where three waters (Yangtze River, Qingjiang River and Yuyang River) converged, central China is 45 kilometers away from Yichang City, 35 km away from Yichang East Railway Station. It is bordered by Bashu mountains to the west, Jianghan plain to the east, the Central Plains to the north and Wuling mountains to the south. It is the center of western Hubei Ecological and Cultural tourism. Yichang Sanxia Airport, which is 20 kilometers from the scenic spot, along with Shanghai-Chengdu, Yichang-Zhangjiajie, Yichang-Yueyang, Lucheng-Yuyangguan highways, connecting the scenic to some popular attractions such as the Yangtze river and three gorges, zhangjiajie scenic of Hunan province, ancient town of The Three Kingdoms in Jingzhou and Xiangyang and Enshi Grand Canyon of Western Hubei province. Being at the hub of transportation, Sanxia Wetland Scenic Spot undoubtedly takes up the responsibility of tourists distributing among those popular attractions. Sanxia Wetland Scenic Spot is situated at the foot of a hill and beside a river. It’s really a bright pearl embedded in the ecological culture tourism belt of western Hubei.
