　　Jiuwanxi Gorge lies about 20 km away from the Three Gorges Dam, extending over 7 kilometers, the deep valley of which is connected with the Kongling Gorge, the Niuganmafei Gorge (Ox Liver and Horse Lung Gorge, the two rocks in the gorge resemble respectively the ox’s liver and the horse’s lung in shape and color) and Bingshubaojian Gorge (Military Book and Sword Gorge, the ancient coffins in the caves on the northern bank of the gorgeresemble the rolls of books and a stone under the “books” looks like a sword) of Xiling Gorge, and the gorges together present a mini “Three-gorge” landscape which demonstrates a scene of boundless varieties with the magnificence of Qutang Gorge, the elegance of Wu Gorges, and the perilousness of Xiling Gorges.
