The Scenic Spot of Mountain Tianzhu, hailed as the central Mountain Wudang with analtitude of 1445 meters, is located in the National Forest Park on the north bank of Qingjiang River. It’s 25 kilometers west of ChangyangTujia Autonomous County in Yichang and adjacent to Qingjiang Gallery of Changyang, the National AAAAA Scenic area.It is one of the Thirty-six Fairylands and Seventy-two Blessed Places of Daoism featuring elegant, fancy, awe-inspiring sceneries. Endowed with majestic and towering mountains seen in the distance and three peaks, two bridges crossing the sky at a close-up sight, Mountain Tianzhu boasts Wangxiantai (The platform for people looking up to Taoist immortals), Shenwa Stone (A natural frog shape stone), Yin Yang Well and Shenquan (Divine Spring) and other natural landscapes. Standing on the peakofMountain Tianzhu, there’s a panoramic view of mountains peeping through and embracing by mist and clouds will catch your eyes. The ancient buildings are grand and brilliant, including palaces, stone ladders and attics. With the Daoist Temple constructed inthe Tang Dynasty, it hasmore than 1300 years of history. Mountain Tianzhu is a well-known sacred mountain to Taoists insouthwest Hubei, along with Mountain Wudang in north Hubei Province.
