As a National Scenic Spot and Health Demonstration Scenic Spot in Hubei., Xiling Gorge Scenic Spot is one of top ten scenic spot in China, ranking the first among China’s Top 40 Tourism Resorts. Situated at the western suburb of Yichang and about eight kilometers away from the urban area, this scenic spot stretches from Gezhouba to Three Gorges Dam with the feature of the scenic spot and historic resort, which in turn can be classified into natural landscape and cultural landscape. With the total coverage of 142 square kilometers, Xiling Gorge Scenic Spot is known as “The Portal of the Three Gorges and the Throat of Sichuan and Hubei. With natural landscape of the “Portal of Three Gorges” as the core, it integrates karst cave landscape, pre-Qin culture, Bachu Culture, Dayu Culture, Poetry Culture and Culture of the Three Kingdoms into a whole. And the scenic spot is dotted with over 100 main landscapes such as Leizu Palace, Land of Idyllic Beauty, Xialao Creek，Longquan Cave, Xianren Brook, etc.
