The Xihe Grand Canyon is located in Xihe Village, a tourism village in Hehua Town of Yuan’an County. Being 31 kilometers away from the seat of Yuan’an County, it is a scenic spot featuring gorges, crags, rivers, waterfalls, flowers, trees, and vines. The canyon is about 10 kilometers long, and 30 to 50 meters wide. The gap is more than 600 meters. The canyon originates from the Laolong River, which is more than 1,000 meters above sea level in Yanchi Village. From west to east, it is like a dragon, winding down to meet the Xihe River. The canyon is deep and quiet, with its towering peaks, steep cliffs, lush trees, warbling birds and rippling streams. With cool wind and clear water, the average temperature in the valley stays at 24 degrees Celsius in summer. Combing the various attractions featuring majesty, steepness, elegance, charm, and tranquility, the Xihe Grand Canyon is a good tourism destination of Yuan’an original rural cultural tourism.
