Mingfeng Mountain Scenic Area, a national AAAA-level scenic spot and famousprovincial scenic area,is located 3.5 km west away from Yuan'an Countyof Hubei Provinceandis now the principal scenic spot in the county. It was first built in the period of Emperor Liang Wu in the Southern and Northern Dynasties(420-589). Witha history of over1500 years, it has been inheritedand passed down bythe Quanzhen School of Wudang Mountain. A famous saying goes that "Wudang far,andMingfengsteep ".MingfengMountain, a part of Jingshan Mountains, issurrounded by waters on three sides. Itis 288 meters high from the foot to the top with its altitude 408 meters.With Danxia landscape as the background and mysterious Taoist culture as its connotation, Mingfeng Scenic area is a Taoist spot which integrates religious pilgrimage, sightseeing of Danxia landscapeand cave resort. It is also a leadingscenic spot in the ecological and cultural tourism of Western Hubei Province and the destination of international tourism of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze river.

　　Transportation: You can arrive at the Scenic Area viaexpress way. MingfengshanScenic Spot is 3.5km away from the southwest of Yuanan Countyand110km away from Yichang. You can also take bus to Yuan'an from Yichang.Bus Yichang-Yuan’an and Dagongqiao-Yuan'anrun from 06:30 a.m. to 19:00 p.m. (15-30 minutes each trip). After arrival, you can take a taxi to the scenic spot.
