Shibazakura Peninsula-shaped scenic area lies at the east side of Dongxiquan Reservoir, Dongxiquan Village, Yaqueling Town,creating a peninsula landform with the boundary of the reservoir. Covering an area of about 86.67 hectares, it boasts unique natural scenery with a gingko valley, taxus chinensis forests, flower fields, miniature landscape gardens, ancient tree stumps and cherry blossoms, etc. You can feast your eyes on flowers and trees, as well as go camping, fishing and hunting. Besides, you can experience farming, picking and local customs, and taste local specialty. The flower fields here are accessible all year around. You can enjoy shibazakura from March to April, azaleas from April to May, sunflowers from June to September, sage flowers from October to November, and ginkgo from November to December.
