Duzhenwan story mainly spreads at Dujiachong, Shiwuxi, Zhuangxi, Longtanping and other places in Duzhenwan of Changyang Tujia Autonomous County. Sun Jiaxiang, the 92-year-old famous female storyteller, is an outstanding representative. In 1986, 440 stories told by her were collected; in July 1998, Changjiang Literature&Art Press published The Collection of Sun Jiaxiang Stories. Besides，Liu Huajie, Li Guoxing, Liu Qingyuan, Liu Zegang and other people are also the representative story tellers of Duzhenwan story. At present, more than 4000 stories have been collected and more than 2100 people are the key inheritors of the whole town.

　　Duzhenwan story owns strong national characteristics and local features. In particular, the Tiger (Laobazi) Story has the distinctive mark of Tujia traditional culture. Jiajiang Story, the Tujia witchcraft story, is the remains of ancient witchcraft culture. Some stories are Han nationality stories and even the famous story types in the world. In the narration, the customs of Tujia Nationality are also incorporated in the stories, which have a unique style.

　　In May 2009, Sun Jiaxiang was awarded the representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage project by the Ministry of Culture.
