The photo below was taken when Mr. Li Lecheng, Mayor of Yichang, signed Friendly Cooperation Memorandum with Mr. Haas, Governor of Ludwigsburg, Germany.

Mr. Haas, Chairman of the council and Governor of Ludwigsburg visited Yichang with his delegation from May 7 to 11, 2011. On May 11, Mr. Li Lecheng, Mayor of Yichang and Deputy Secretary of Yichang Municipal Party Committee, signed Friendly Cooperation Memorandum with Mr. Haas, Governor of Ludwigsburg. Meanwhile, Ms. Wu Jing, Deputy Mayor of Yichang, presided over the ceremony.

Both parties have reached a consensus that they will enhance the friendly relationship by strengthening exchanges. Therefore, both parties will provide support and assistance for personnel mutual exchanges, especially the communication between youth and students in both countries. The agreement includes the following five aspects: Yidu No.1 Middle School will develop friendly cooperation with Ernst-Engler Arts & Science Middle School in Conwestheim City; Yiling Middle School will further cooperation with Schiller Arts & Science Middle School in Marbach City; No.1 Middle School in Changyang Tujia Autonomous County will start friendly cooperation with Schiller Middle School in Ludwigsburg City; Yichang No.1 Hospital will continue cooperation with Beatigheim Hospital Co., Ltd; Schiller University in Ludwigsburg will continue to send citizens to visit Yichang.

On the morning of May 11, accompanied by Mayor Li Lecheng and other leaders, Mr. Haas visited Yihua Group and Three Gorges Quantong Coated and Galvanized Plate Co., Ltd. At noon, Mr. Li Lecheng, Ms. Wu Jing invited Mr. Haas and his delegation ot have lunch at Taohualing Hotel in Yichang. Mayor Li Lecheng said that Mr. Haas and his delegation opened up a new friendly cooperation between Yichang and Ludwigsburg.

Mr. Haas expressed his gratitude for Yichang\'s hospitality. He was satisfied with the existing cooperation between both parties. He also stated that he would implement the new cooperation in accordance with the friendly cooperation agreement, and hoped that both sides would have more cooperations concerning economy and other fields.
