Li Yalong Meets with Japanese Experts

On the evening of May 1,2012, Mr. Li Yalong (right one in the picture), Chairman of Yichang Municipal CPPCC meets with Mr. Shigeharu Nomura, visiting professor from the University of Osaka, Japan at Taohualing Hotel in Yichang.

During this visit, Mr. Nomura will give a lecture on "Emergency Response Measures for Disaster Prevention and Crisis in Japan", and a seminar on “the Aging Problems and Countermeasures of the Japanese Society". He will also visit China Three Gorges University, the tea factory of the Xiao\'s Tea Group, and will discuss about Sino-Japanese cooperation projects with relevant departments. Mr. Li Yalong is pleased to tell Mr. Nomura that the cooperation with Japan has achieved great results--- the 1st phase of the industrial park project of the Xiao\'s Tea Group has been completed. Lately, the Group has started greater cooperation with Japanese companies, integrating the Japanese technology with China\'s reality to construct the largest tea processing base in China.

Mr. Li Yalong extended his warmest welcome to Mr. Nomura. He says that Yichang is also a geological disaster-prone area, and it is hoped that professor Nomura\'s lecture will share the successful experience of responding to natural disasters to help us to improve emergency response capabilities.

Professor Nomura, graduated from Nagoya University in Japan, specializes in the Public Policy Research at University of Osaka. His research areas include public policy, international macroeconomics, development economics, and family economics.
