On April 14, Ma Xuming, Member of the Provincial CPC Commitee, Mayor of Yichang City met with Angela Silbermann, Director of German Rehwaldt Landscape Architects & Engineers Design Office in China, and Clephas, a famous agriculture expert.

　　Ma introduced the construction of Yichang New District and the situation of agriculture to Angela. He said that there are rich resources of landscape in Yichang and the modern agriculture is developing rapidly. Currently, Yichang is on the road to become a big and strong, excellent and beautiful megacity. It is planned that Yichang New District will cover an area of 220 square kilometers, among which the construction scale is 105 square kilometers and 115 square kilometers landscape are remained unchanged. Great importance have been attached to the ecological protection in the construction of Yichang New District, and many domestic and foreign design institutions are involved in the construction, such as United States, France,the Netherlands and so on. Ma hoped that outstanding design concept in German could be introduced to Yichang to achieve win-win cooperation after the inspection.

　　Angela said that the word-famous Three Gorges Project is located in Yichang, so in the New District Project, her office is interested in the landscape design of the city park, greenland construction and the tourism resort area. She hoped to have a better understanding of the development in Yichang and join the construction of megacity.
