Huang Chuping, member of the Standing Committee of Wuhan Province and Secretary of Yichang Municipal Committee, met with the German delegation from Landkreis Ludwigsburg this week.

　　Huang welcomed Mr. Haas, the delegation led by Mr. Haas, the county magistrate and introduced the development there. He said that Yichang enjoys a good development trend and potential with good opportunities and is to seize the realistic, direct and beneficial strategic opportunities such as the "One Belt and One Road Policy" and the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt to strive to be the first non-capital city in central China and the central city of the Three Gorges urban agglomeration. It is the 20th anniversary of building friendly relations between Yichang and Ludwigsburg this year. Both cities have close communication in health care, culture, education, etc. and Yichang benefited greatly from that. As a model for Yichang, Ludwigsburg enjoys developed economy and is a city of sports, university and livable place with unique and enchanting charm. He hoped that Yichang and Ludwigsburg can further enhance exchanges, cooperation and personnel exchanges in trade, technology and culture to realize mutual development.

　　Mr. Haas extended gratitude to Yichang for the warm invitation and thoughtful arrangements, and happily recalled the exchanges and cooperation with Yichang and the good memories of past visits. He said that he had fallen in love with Yichang and for the past 20 years, the cooperation between Yichang and Ludwigsburg has achieved fruitful results. Ludwigsburg attached great importance to the exchanges with Yichang, particularly the exchange among young people. He Hoped that the two cities can further strengthen the exchanges and believed to achieve greater success in cooperation.

　　The friendly exchanges between Yichang and Ludwigsburg began in 1989. The friendly relationship between the two cities was officially built up in May, 1995.
