2016-05-11 16:07:59

"From now on there is a bridgehead for export of the Yichang tangerine. We have exported over 350 tons of Yichang tangerine to the Central Asia this year,” said Xiang Bin, Chairman of the Zigui Huixin Specialized Cooperatives on October 27.

The abovementioned "bridgehead" refers to Khorgos City of Ili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Province, where Yichang Tangerine and Tea Promotion Conference was held on October 21, led by Wang Guobin, vice mayor of Yichang. In this conference, the trading contract of 200,000 tons tangerines worth of nearly 30M Yuan was signed between Khorgos and Yichang enterprises.

To seize the opportunity for the development of the national strategy of "the Belt and Road Initiative” and Yangtze?River?Economic?Zone , and give full play to its pivot advantage as a core region of the Silk Road Economic Belt in autonomous prefectures and the strength of the Three Gorges Project, this September 14th witnessed the establishment of  Strategic Cooperation Agreement On Forging International Channel of Yichang-Xinjiang-Europe Waterway-Highway-Railway Combined Transportation, by Ili Prefecture and Yichang City. This Conference marks the substantive results the Agreement has made, thus opening a much smoother channel for the export of Yichang’s special and high-quality agricultural products, including tangerine and tea.
