The Pakistan delegation led by IqbalZafarJagla, the Muslim League (Sheriff), the Secretary General and the Senate Hydropower committee chairman, visited Yichang on December 11th and was received by ZhuangGuangming, the secretary of Municipal Committee.

ZhuangGuangming, on behalf of Yichang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, extended a warm welcome to the delegation for their arrival.He said that China and Pakistan has maintained brotherly friendship and a long history of communication, which in turn providing us with broad prospects for cooperation and development. He also expressed that both two sides should make full use of this visit to seize “the Belt and Road" strategic opportunity, and under the guidance of "five development concepts”, to promote exchanges between political parties and the cities and enhance friendship, laying a solid foundation for mutual development.

ZafarIqbal expressed thanks for the hospitable and thoughtful reception of Yichang. He said that China and Pakistan are iron brothers with all-weather partners of strategic cooperation. And he hoped that the construction of China and Pakistan Economic Corridor can strengthen mutual visits, deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields, particularly the expansion of cultural exchanges in order to build up mutual understanding and friendship between both peoples.
