An Saimeng, the chief representative to China of International Finance Corporation of World Bank (IFC) led his team to Yichang to investigate Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects on the morning of March15. The delegation met with Song Wenbao, member of Municipal Standing Committee and executivevicemayor, and Xu Wei, CPPCC vice chairman and director of the Finance Bureau of Yichang(the Bureau), who were commissioned by Ma Xuming, mayor of Yichang.

Song introduced Yichang’s economic status and social development to the delegation, and he expected that IFC could open the door of cooperation to Yichang for quickening its development.

The responsible officials of medical system and transportation system together with An Saimeng’s team attended the symposium organized by the Finance Bureau for docking PPP Projects, in which they explored the accessibility of other related fields’ promotion in PPP model. It was expected that IFC could intellectually back Yichang to create more high quality PPP projects. An Saimeng held Yichang, with an open-minded government, boasts geographical advantage and solid industrial base; moreover, PPP projects enjoy promising future, so he was ready to cooperate with Yichang in planning these projects and to promote them outwards.
