On March 16th, Yichang Waterway Engineering Bureau signed a cooperation memorandum with Singapore Baode Engineering Company and Singapore Anderson Construction Company. Zhou Zhengying, Yichang deputy mayor, attended the signing ceremony.

　　On behalf of Yichang municipal government, Zhou Zhengying showed warm welcome to Singapore entrepreneurs. She said, under the guidance of "One Belt and One Road" strategy, Yichang government actively promotes enterprises to "go out", and strengthens economic and trade cooperation with the countries along "One Belt and One Road". At present, there are 48 enterprises that trade with overseas companies from 20 plus countries and regions including Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America, covering high-end manufacturing, biomedicine, construction engineering, modern agriculture and foreign trade, and so on. The project that Yichang Waterway Engineering Bureau contracted in Singapore is also one of them demonstrating government’s determination of promoting local enterprises going out. It is believed that the commercial intercourse will be more intensive with the stimulation of the two governments.

　　It is learned that, in 2015, Yichang Waterway Engineering Bureau undertook the construction and management of Singapore Staging Area and backfilling works, and established the first overseas wholly-owned subsidiary in Singapore - Changjiang Dredging and Port Construction Pte ltd.
