On December 26th, the product promoting meeting of 2017 Yichang International Citrus Purchaser’s Conference was held at Qugu International Agricultural Group in Zigui County. More than 50 international purchasers from 17 countries along the “The Belt and Road” gathered in Yichang for economic and trade negotiations with the city’s citrus enterprises and the agricultural products deep processing enterprises.

　　At the scene, the international purchasers watched an introduction video of Zigui navel orange industry development and they listened to some relevant information. It is known that the navel orange area of Zigui County has reached 350 thousand mu, with an annual output of 450 thousand tons, whose output value reached 2 billion Yuan. And fresh navel orange could be sold all year round by adjusting the planting structure of navel orange positively. Later, Qugu International Agricultural Group introduced the deep processing status about navel orange and other products, and then Dianjun Sanxiarenjia Agricultural Products Specialized Cooperative introduced ecological planting situations about citrus, which attracted extensive attention of international purchasers.

　　Chernov Alexey, executive manager of Russia Agricultural Consulting Association, said that citrus of Yichang was very popular in Russia because of its high-quality. Meanwhile, he suggested that more work should be done in building citrus brand of Yichang, thus making more Russian know and love citrus of Yichang through the brand.

　　Mohamad, a Saudi Arabian customer, said he had been cooperating with Qugu International Agricultural Group for four years, mainly importing fresh fruits such as citrus and navel orange, and he made citrus products of Yichang penetrate the Jordanian market with its own advantage. In order to own a broader market for citrus of Yichang in the Middle East, he would continue strengthening their cooperation in the future.

　　Peng Lihui, secretary-general of China Electronic Chamber of Commerce(CECC), said that based on its own rich resources, overseas channels and high-quality services, CECC would actively promote the development of citrus of Yichang and other characteristic industries to help citrus of Yichang to go global.

　　What’s more, on the day of the event, citrus purchasers at home and abroad visited Guanzhuang Orange Orchard in Yiling District, China Three Gorges Citrus Museum, Agricultural Products Exhibition Center in Yiling District, Xiaoxihong Citrus Cooperative, Zhijiang Zhongshu Agricultural Technology Co.
