In Jun. 24, Zhou Ji, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the secretary of Municipal Party Committee, met with Jiesuobo, the member of Central Committee of the Cambodian People’s Party as well as the deputy chairman of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of Cambodia and a delegation of Cambodian people’s party cadres in Yichang.

　　Entrusted by Jiang Chaoliang, secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Wang Xiaodong, deputy of the Provincial Party Committee and governor, Zhou Wei, on behalf of the CPC Hubei Provincial Party Committee, the provincial government, and the CPC Yichang Municipal Party Committee and the municipal government, welcomed the delegation. He said that Hubei, located in the central part of China, was one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization, with superior geographical position, obvious advantages in science and education, good industrial and agricultural foundation, and rich ecological resources. As a sub-center city of Hubei Province, Yichang is the seat of the Three Gorges Project and Gezhouba Dam project. At present, we are guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, to implement the decisions of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind. The aspiration of the people to live a better life must always be the focus of our efforts. We should accelerate the cultivation of new growth energies and promote high-quality development. Besides, we will devote attention to addressing unbalanced and insufficient development to better meet the people’s growing needs for a better life. Over the years, Cambodia has maintained close exchanges with Hubei and Yichang by cooperating in economy and trade, education, and culture, which has achieved some achievements. It is the 60th anniversary of our diplomatic relations this year. Taken the delegation’s visit to Yichang as the new starting point, we will further deepen exchanges with Cambodia and carry out all-round cooperation, so as to contribute to the development of China-Cambodia comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation.

　　Jiesuobo spoke highly of the achievements of Yichang’s economic and social development. He said that Yichang was the second city that they visited in China. In Yichang, theyl earned the advanced experience of the Communist Party of China in community governance, felt the happy life of the people in this city, and saw the obvious results of the rapid development of Yichang’s economy. Besides, they would further strengthen exchanges with Yichang, earnestly study these good experiences, and strive to internalize to all work practices so as to improve the living standards of the Cambodian people.

　　Before the meeting, the delegation had visited the urban areas and Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County to learn about the economic and social development of Yichang, as well as to inspect the practice and experience of the new rural construction, grassroots party construction and anti-corruption.
