On September 5. President of Gabonese Republic, Ali BONGO ONDIMBA, took their delegation to visit Hubei. They firstly arrived at Yichang and paid a visit to Three Gorges Project.

　　After the delegation arrived at Yichang Sanxia Airport, they went straight to the Three Gorges Dam to start their visit in Hubei. Bongo watched engineering miniatures with great interest in the exhibition hall of Three-Gorges project. They also listened to the comprehensive benefit utilization situation of the Three-Gorges Project in flood control, power generation, shipping and utilization of water resources.

　　After learning about the overall construction situation of the Three-Gorges Project, the president could not help giving a thumb-up and wrote the following impromptu inscription: “I am very interested in watching such a magnificent water conservancy project. I think it is a great project that all Chinese people are proud of .”

　　At around 4 o’clock in the afternoon, it became foggy. Bongo and his group boarded the 185-meter platform at the top of the Three Gorges Dam, and looked out into distance.

　　Great waters and the green hills were shrouded in the mist. “The Three Gorges consists of Qutang Gorge, Wu Gorge and Xiling Gorge. The location of the Three Gorges Project is Xiling Gorge.” Zhang Shuguang, assistant general manager of the Three Gorges Corporation and director of the pivot bureau, explained the origin of the Three Gorges to the delegation group. After listening to the introduction, the foreign guests nodded and praised the beautiful Three Gorges.

　　Inside the Three Gorges left bank power station, the large display screen reflects the water condition of the Three Gorges Project and the operation of the unit in real time. "At present, the water level in the upper reaches of the Three Gorges is 150.7 meters, and the water level in the lower reaches of the reservoir is 65.58 meters. 21 units are used to start power generation. The total installed capacity of the Three Gorges Power Station is 22.5 million kilowatts." After hearing the introduction by the Three Gorges Left Bank Power Station, Bongo gave a big thumb up.

　　After the visit, the delegation took a special plane to Wuhan and continued his tour in Hubei. It is reported that Bongo is invited by President Xi Jinping to participate in the 2018 China-Africa Cooperation Forum Summit held in Beijing from September 3rd to 4th. The two heads of state jointly witnessed the signing of bilateral cooperation documents in the Great Hall of the People.
