On October 14, it’s learned from the Municipal Transportation Bureau that the cumulatively total number of ETC users in Yichang has reached 555,400, including 320,000 newly added ones by September 30, which means that the city has completed 102.69% of the annual task issued by the provincial government 3 months in advance,with an ETC installation rate of 84.24% in the city.

　　 On July 2, the municipal government held a specialmeeting on the study and promotion of ETC application services on expressways in the city. Accordingly, the city’s transportation department fully performed its duties activelyas a leading unit in the development and application of ETC, and sparedno effort to advancethe installation of ETC by assigningtasks explicitlyto all levels, definingthe relevant responsibilitiesclearlyaccording to the districts and supervisingregularly.
