In the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the normalization of China-Japan diplomatic relations, the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Yichang Municipality and the Industrial Promotion Department of Kashiwazaki City have recently jointly launched online youth communications entitled “Talk about Urban Glamour, and join hands for the future” for further friendly exchanges between the two cities. Representatives from Yichang Foreign Languages High School and Kashiwazaki-Shoyo Secondary School communicated via online video, which has deepened mutual understanding and sowed the seeds of peace and friendship.
During the exchange, the students from both cities introduced their respective urban culture, campus life, local customs and practices, tourism and cuisines, which exhibit distinctive features of the two cities. They also discussed and exchanged ideas on topics of common interest and sent travel invitations to each other. In addition, tea art specialists from Hubei Changshengchuan Tea Industry Co., Ltd. performed a tea ceremony to display the unique charm of Yichang tea culture.
It is understood that Kashiwazaki, located in Niigata Prefecture, is one of the sister cities of Yichang. For years, the two cities have carried out practical cooperation in various fields including education, culture, and urban management. (Reporter: Huang Xiang; Correspondent: Liu Yi)
