From May 31 to June 1, more than 50 party leaders or representatives from ten countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa visited Yichang for the special promotion conference “The CPC Stories—Hubei’s Implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era”, including Vlad Batrincea, chairman and deputy speaker of the Alliance of the Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova and the Party of the Socialists of the Republic of Moldova.

　　Zhuge Yujie, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee, Xiong Zhengyu, Secretary of the CPC Yichang Municipal Committee, and Ma Zejiang, Mayor and Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yichang Municipal Committee accompanied the team.

　　Xiong Zhengyu, on behalf of the CPC Yichang Municipal Committee and the municipal government, extended a warm welcome to all the guests. He said that Yichang is the place where President Xi established rules and regulations for the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. It is an historical city rich in culture and picturesque scenery, a vibrant land for development and a happy home of habitability. Yichang’s high-quality development is attributed to the firm leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China with Xi Jinping at its core and the guidance and direction of General Secretary Xi Jinping. At present, adhering to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Yichang is fully and faithfully applying the new development philosophy. It is actively serving and integrating into the new development paradigm and accelerating the construction of itself as a model city in the protection of the Yangtze River and a world-renowned city. Yichang is endeavoring to write a chapter as Hubei follows the Chinese path to modernization. The city sincerely welcomes friends from world political parties to appreciate its beautiful scenery and experience the unique charm of the Yangtze River civilization.

　　Batrincea said that this mission with friends from various political parties brought a deeper understanding of the diligence and wisdom of the Chinese people. They firmly believe that under the leadership of the CPC, China will achieve further development, and the friendship between the Chinese people and the people from all over the world will be deepened. Going forward, the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, and the Global Civilization Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping will serve as important guidance for solving the challenges faced by the world today. They also firmly believe that as long as countries join hands and work together, more certainty will be injected into the uncertain world, the world will be made more harmonious and wonderful, and more welfare will be brought to people across the world.

　　The team visited the Three Gorges Dam, Xujiachong Village in Yiling District, Yichang Xingfa New Materials Industrial Park, Yangtze River Protection Education Base, Lighthouse Square, and Zhijiang County to experience Yichang’s implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and deepen knowledge on Yichang’s endeavor in implementing the decisions and deployments of the CPC Central Committee in its protection of the Yangtze River. The team said that through this trip to Yichang and Hubei, they saw the practical epitome of the Chinese path to modernization, which is enlightening for them. After returning home, they will apply the experience the have obtained in Yichang and Hubei to promote the economic and social development of their countries. All of them said that they will serve as a bridge to strengthen cooperation and communications between their countries and China so that the friendship between them and China will be as long-lasting as the Yangtze River.
