On May 17, the patriotic-themed film Dr. Chan Cheng premiered in Yichang. The premiere was jointly organized by the United Front Work Department of the Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Education Bureau, the Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, and the Municipal Overseas Chinese Federation.

The film, using a realistic approach, vividly portrays Dr. Chan Cheng’s touching story of living abroad for many years. It highlights his unwavering dedication to promoting the peaceful reunification of China, uniting overseas Chinese, and his deep concern for the development of his homeland and country.
