Yichang’s foreign trade hits 5.51 bln in first two months

  The total foreign trade of Yichang reached 5.51 billion yuan in the first two months of this year, with exports totaling 3.81 billion yuan and imports standing at 1.7 billion yuan, according to the data released by Yichang Customs on March 24.

  The general trade dominated at 4.93 billion yuan, a 6.8% year-on-year increase, and the processing trade and the bonded logistics contributed 370 million yuan and 210 million yuan respectively.

  Private enterprises drove 3.51 billion yuan in the trade volume, and state-owned enterprises saw 990 million yuan in transactions, a YoY increase of 9.2%, while foreign-invested enterprises surged by 52.9% to 1.01 billion yuan.

  ASEAN remained Yichang’s largest trading partner (1.07 billion yuan), followed by the EU (770 million yuan) and the United States (600 million yuan). Trade with B&R countries grew 2.8% to 3.3 billion yuan, while exchanges with RCEP member states increased 4.2% to 1.82 billion yuan. (Reporter/Yang Jing, Correspondent/Huang Qian)
