On December 17, the annual inbound and outbound passenger throughput at Yichang Sanxia International Airport surpassed 120,000, setting a new record.

　　So far this year, the airport has handled nearly 70,000 foreign passenger trips, accounting for 58.3% of its total inbound and outbound traffic. Among these, visa-free entries reached 19,000, representing a year-on-year increase of 37.6%. The top source countries for foreign travelers includeThailand, Vietnam and South Korea, with most visiting for tourism or business.Over the past months, the convenience offered by the visa-free policy has been a key driver in attracting foreignvisitors to Yichang.
