2012-04-25 20:59:30

94 Follow-up Projects Planned to Apply Later This Year

On April 16th, from the Migration Office we learnt that Yichang is steadily promoting the selection and application of the follow-up work of the Three Gorges Project, and is implementing existing projects. Each work has proceeded smoothly.

In 2011, Three Gorges Project Construction Committee of the State Council issued a letter of approval to the first 33 follow-up construction projects of the Three Gorges Project, among which there were 2 city proper projects, 14 in Zigui County, 18 in Xingshan County and 4 in Yiling District. Now the Ministry of Finance is ratifying the first batch of project investment and arranging the funds. Fourteen projects of the 33 have been started so far, of which 10 projects have been completed, and the others are doing the preparations before construction.

Yichang City plans to apply 94 follow-up projects this year on the principle of “stressing on the key projects, promoting development and prioritizing the differences”. Among those 94 projects there are 9 city proper projects, 40 in Zigui County, 35 in Xingshan County and 10 in Yiling District.

This year is the year for the planning of the follow-up work implementation of the Three Gorges Project. According to the arrangement and deployment of the Three Gorges Project Construction Committee of the State Council and the Provincial Migration Office, the planning of the follow-up work implementation of the Three Gorges Project should be finished by the end of June this year. The relevant units of the city proper and the units of the three counties in reservoir area are actively cooperating with the expert group of the Yangtze River Committee on the work of implementation planning. By holding special office meetings and communicating with the expert group, the professional training to the units of the responsibility was provided, project libraries were set up to ensure the planning develops smoothly.
