During "May Day" holiday, the passion for travelling beats the rainy weather in Yichang, with the number of tourists reaching 1 million.  Statistics from the City Holiday Office show that from April 29 to May 1, Yichang received in total 928,700 domestic and foreign visitors, an increase of 58.30% compared to last year, total tourism income of 292 million Yuan, an increase of 66.64% .

During the three days, the 7 scenic spots included in the statistical work received 302,100 tourists, an increase of 36.55%, among which the Three Gorges Dam received 86,000 tourists, the Three Gorges Household 43,300, the Qingjiang Gallery 46,500, the Xiling Gorge Scenic Area 29,900, the Chexi Tourist Site 32,500, the Grand Three Gorges Waterfalls 29,300, and Qu Yuan\'s Hometown 24,700 respectively.
