On the 14th of this month, an experimental area of 1.5 km2 in the downtown was set for urban infrastructure facilities and equipment investigation of the city with the aim of optimizing the mode and planning of infrastructure facilities investigation in Yichang and the experimental investigation will be completed within about 20 days. The whole investigation will be managed by Wuhan Leador Spatial Information Technology Development Co.,Ltd, who will make a thorough check of the relevant facilities and equipment, sort the ownership and management relationship of them and establish the attributive and geographical data bank for all the objects.

　　On the basis of the experimental practice, the investigation will be expanded to a larger scope of around 40 km2 in the next stage and finally to the whole urban area of 100 km2, covering 90 minor types (7 major types) of facilities and equipment, including all the public service facilities and equipment. All the objects will be fixed with their digital identification labels. In the course of further construction, the information of the newly-equipped facilities and equipment can be easily added into the identification data bank. Establishment of the digital identification data system will make the management and maintenance of all the identified objects more effective and the infrastructure resources sharing more accessible with the E-Government Network, the 12345 Call Centre, the Grid System of Community Service and the City Public Security Video Monitoring System.
