A Post-90s Yidu Girl to Donate Marrow

    It was acknowledged on the August 14 by the Red Cross Society of China Hubei Branch that Xiang Chunhua, a post-90s girl from Yidu City will go to Wuhan for HSC (hemopoietic stem cell) donation to a 17-year-old patient with leukemia in a hospital in Jiangsu province, where the HSC transplantation will be operated.

  Xiang was born in 1990, and she is a pharmacist of N0. 2 People\'s Hospital of Yidu County. When she was still a student, she became a volunteer donator of the CMDP. She was informed in May the success of initial marrow zygosity with a patient with leukemia, and in July passed the physical examination. She will leave for Wuhan within August 18 to 24 for HSC collection. Xiang will be the ninth donator of successful marrow donation in Yichang as well as the sixth among the medical workers.

  According to primary statistic, 2501 people in Yichang have been accepted as HSC donation volunteers of the CMDP and eight volunteers have succeeded in HSC donation.
