ZANU-PF Delegation Visits Yichang

  On September 6, a 13-member delegation of Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front ( ZANU-PF) headed by Thokozile Mathuthu, Executive Chairwoman of Matabeleland North and the member of ZANU-PF Political Bureau, arrived in Yichang for a 2-day trip. Wei Shengbin, a member of Standing Committee of Yichang Municipal Committee and Secretary of Organization Department met with the visiting delegation in the downtown.

  Wei introduced to the delegation, more than 200 medical and agricultural experts have been successively sent to African countries from Yichang for friendly aids; Lin Lin, the present Chinese ambassador to Zimbabwe is also from Yichang; and Yichang is willing to promote the communication and cooperation between China and the Republic of Zimbabwe to contribute more to the friendship and progress of people the two nations.

  Mathuthu said, the delegation are greatly impressed by the Three Gorges Project. She also introduced that her nation is rich of natural resources and she hopes that the two sides will enhance cooperation in development of their hydraulic resources and other industries.

  ZANU-PF is an organization with 3 million members which has been governing the country since independence of the nation.
