Huang Chuping Meets with Burundi's Senate Speaker

   Huang Chuping, the member of Standing Committee of Hubei Provincial Committee, Yichang Municipal Party Secretary and Director of Municipal People\'s Congress met with Burundi\'s Senate Speaker Gabriel Ntisezerana on Wednesday afternoon in Yichang.

  Huang introduced the brilliant history and culture of Yichang and its economic and social development to Ntisezerana and his delegation, and meanwhile expressed his welcome to their trip in Yichang. He said, Yichang has communicated much with African countries by various interchange activities in which more than 200 doctors, dozens of agricultural experts have been sent far away to Africa for medical and technological aids and tight friendship has been established between Yichang and African people. He assured that Yichang will continue to strengthen the communication and cooperation with African countries including Burundi and he also said, African friends including friends from Burundi are welcome to invest, establish business and travel in Hubei and Yichang. Meanwhile, he encouraged Yichang’s enterprises and citizens to develop their business in Burundi and other African countries for investment, cooperation and tourism.

  Ntisezerana expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the hospitality and friendly aids from Yichang people. He said, Yichang is a very important city, with a bright future of development, so that he has been attracted to this city for this trip. He said, Sino-Burundi relation is enjoying good momentum, and China has provided Burundi with many supports and aids both in fund and projects. In many provinces of Burundi, many Chinese doctors can be found and are widely respected and loved by the natives for their dedication and humility. He expressed, China attaches great importance to develop good relations with less developed African countries and is very concerned about the poverty-stricken population in Africa, as is the great quality that a great nation should possess and he personally greatly appreciated and admired. He expected that Yichang and Burundi will continue their exchange and cooperation to promote a more close relation between both sides. He said, he is looking forward to investment and establishment of business by more Yichang entrepreneurs in Burundi, and assured that Burundi will protect all the interests of the investors.
