On September 18th, sacrifice ceremony in autumn of Guan Ling temple fair was held in Dangyang County, Hubei Province. The delegation in memorial of Guan Yu, with thousands of delegates including representatives of Guanling Temple from home and abroad, followers of Guan Yu from home and abroad, family members and the natives in Dangyang, gathered there to worship Guan Yu. At fifteen to ten, there began the sacrifice ceremony in autumn of Guanling Temple Fair. In accordance with the antique ceremonial ritual dressed in the Han style, the ritualist in the clothing of the classical style, offered the incense, blesses, presented a starting gift, presenting silk, reciting funeral oration, offering the sub gift, scattering cereals, sacrificed liquor, sent back, offered the ending gift. The followers from Taiwan and the mainland of China as well as the descendants took turns to offer incense, then worshiped. Then there followed the temple fair activities, including community variety show, Dangyang intangible cultural heritage show, local customs show and folk lantern show, etc.

　　Since the 1990s, Dangyang has successfully held sacrifice ceremonies of Guanling Temple Fair in autumn for 20 times. In 2011, Guanling Temple Fair was listed in the third items of state-level intangible cultural heritage promulgated by the State Council.
