Since September 15, the seat numbers of all bullet trains of CRH1, 2, 3 and 5 has recoded in accordance of the seat number coding method of CRH380 bullet trains, as is combined with letters and numbers. When traveling, passengers can select their favorite seats according to the letter types at the ticket booking office or on the ticket-vending machines.

　　According to the director in charge of the planning department of Yichang East Railway Station, after the unification of seat numbers of the national bullet trains, in the same style of plan tickets, the ticket numbers indicate clearly location of the seats. Seat location is indicated by the five letters of “A”, “B”, “C”, “D” and “F”. Exactly, the 3-seater seats are indicated by “A”, “B” and “C” while “D” and “F” refer to the 2-seater seats. In addition, the C-row and D-row seats are respectively arranged on both sides of the aisle and the A-row and F-row ones are window seats with B-row ones in the middle row of the three seats. Passengers can locate their seats easily when getting the tickets.

　　According to the leader in charge of Yichang East Railway Station, the ticket vending machines has just installed recently and at present they are still in the commissioning run-in period and may be put into use during the holiday week of the National Day. Then, passengers can book easily tickets of their favorite.
