On September 20, 2012, the seventh cultural festival was celebrated in Letianxi Town of Yiling District, the “portal” of the Three Gorges Project Area. More than one thousand local resettlers took an active part in the fun games, song and dance performance, dancing show and gymnastics. The games and shows own not only much attractiveness, but also significance of demonstrating the new life style of the resettlers.

　　  It is reported that Letianxi Town, which is appraised as a model unit of nationwide fitness program”, has been devoted in organization of cultural festivals for the resettlers from the Three Gorges Reservoir Area every year since 2006 when the first cultural festival was held. At present, over 60 fitness sites have been built in the town, communities and villages, and more than 100 mass sporting events and 50 theatrical performances have been organized every year.
