The seventh executive meeting of the municipal government which was held on September 20 revealed that the fourth athletic meeting in Yichang will be held in Zigui nest year.

　　The first municipal athletic meeting of Yichang was held in 2001. Since the fourth Yangtze River Three Gorges Rally International Dragon Boat Race was held in Yichang in 2005 when the second municipal athletic meeting should be held, the municipal government of Yichang City made a decision to have it postponed the next year. Consequently, the following municipal sports meetings were held in 2006 and 2010 respectively.

　　According to the traditional arrangement, the fourth municipal athletic meeting will be held in 2014; however, the fourteenth provincial sports meet of Hubei is scheduled in Jingzhou City in the same year. Therefore, the Sports Bureau of Yichang City in the work report states that it is necessary to advance the organization of the fourth municipal sports meeting by one year.
